Excalibur is a gag character initially created by Smash YouTuber Alpharad, in reality a simple recolor of Zetterburn born from playing with the Custom colors feature. He is stated to be Alpharad's original character, allegedly the most powerful demon from the seventh circle of Hell who is far stronger than Zetterburn, likely as a parody of many similar OCs in other fandoms. He was featured in various pre-release videos, referred to in numerous inside jokes, and eventually released as a limited Premium Skin.
His Premium taunt involves displaying a sword. However, being a skin and not truly a separate character, his having one does not affect his move set in any way.
Though unfortunately, Excalibur's exclusive availability has timed out for PC users. Console users will get the official premium skin in the Genesis Pack. But not to worry, because a very talented artist on DevianArt who goes by the name of TripJr, through lots of time and effort, was able to perfectly replicate the color code. Excalibur is also referenced in The Rivals Direct 3, this time as Zetterburn's (Voiced by Alpharad himself in the direct) secret OC he enjoys roleplaying.
